The Redtiger Dash Camera comes with two cameras, One F7N 4K front Dash Camera and one 1080P Rear Camera. In this post we will demonstrate how to install both cameras thru a few steps and I will provide some videos demonstrating how to do this as well.
1) Connect the rear camera to the front dash camera via the cable provided. It has a yellow end to it. Power on the front camera to confirm that both cameras are working.
2) Insert the power cord along the gaps between the windshield and the ceiling, between the car body and the ceiling on the side of the passenger seat, and between the rear seats and the ceiling.
Here's a diagram to help yo visualize.
You are also provided with a trim tool
I will describe two methods here to mount the camera to the rear side of the car. The first method is not difficult and all you need is to mount the camera to the inside of the rear window.
The provided 3M Mount can be added to the back of the camera and simply taped to the bottom part of the rear window. For most people this would probably be easier to do and the view is relatively good.
Method number two. Depending on your vehicle, you will remove the trunk panel and feed the rear camera thru the trunk. You will pry open the license plate light and pass the rear camera cable through the hole where the license plate light is located. Below is a full video demonstration on how this is done.
