Magnetic Phone Car Mount Wixgear Vs LISEN
I recently reviewed two magnetic car mounts that are specifically made to go into your car vent. These are useful for when you are traveling and need something easy and simple to hold the phone while you use your GPS.
These phone mounts come with everything you need to attach your phone or iPhone to the device. They also include extra metal pieces to make it easy to attach to your phone case.
Let's take a quick look at the WixGear
The WixGear uses a turning knob to clamp the unit in place inside your car vent. You can turn it clockwise to lock or counterclockwise to unlock. I used my Android phone to demonstrate this via my Amazon page.
The magnet is good but I did find it to lose grip while moving it down too much or to the left or right of the vent. Also, the vent for the car I was testing it out on, Ford Eco Sport appeared to be weighted down by the magnet which was somewhat annoying.
Next up is the LISEN phone mount.
This one has a clip that extends out and hooks behind the vent. By turning the big knob you can easily tighten it to the vent and its long enough to fit most standard car vents.
As with the WixGear this one too comes with all the pieces you need to fit your Android or iPhone to the front magnet.
The magnet on the Lisen was a bit stronger and it held the phone in place much better.
One thing to note is that both of these units can also hold your phone case if you happen to have a metal piece already built into the case, this would save you from having to stick the metal piece on your phone or your case.
